'I always said this Stock Ezy Ewe Cradle would pay for itself in the first animal it saved.
Well here she is! One of my older ewes who has been incredibly productive (mainly ewe lambs ) was cast a couple of mornings ago. Had to bring her down off the rainy hill in the trailer then place in woolshed overnight while I waited for help to lift her.
She spent yesterday in the cradle and by late afternoon was standing up! We let her out this morning and looking really good. Was worried she had broken a hip or injured her back. If I hadn’t been so ill yesterday then might have got my vet out. Meantime had her on medication.
Phew. And she’s such a lovely character of a ewe. Bleats like a fog horn for nuts but endearing.'
